Detroit Gun Works was founded in Detroit south of 7 mile and east of Mt. Elliot in the middle of the most recent economic recession. We are a division of Central Screw Products, founded in 1924, a venerable Michigan machining operation with a solid reputation for quality, innovation, and hard work. It was not okay to watch our machines sit idle, and we decided to do something about it. We have spent the last few years drawing from the incredible talent pool of engineers and artists that exist in our area. Our team includes full time engineering, marketing, sales, purchasing, production, and quality staff. These individuals use the latest machinery and systems to deliver a quality product that we are proud to inscribe with our name. Our highly automated systems are designed to manufacture lowers, uppers, and other metal components from low volume to production quantities. We offer in house CAD/CAM design services that seamlessly integrate with our multi-axis CNC machines, robots, and probing systems. Our recent growth pulled us out of the city into the Detroit suburbs; however, the chip remains prominently on our shoulder. We continue to invest in the latest state of the art equipment, systems, and people, while pursuing higher quality standards and better cycle times. Already, we have earned a reputation for some of the nicest lowers on the market and we suggest you choose us as your manufacturer the next time you are purchasing. Our AR-15 and .308 lower and upper receivers are manufactured out of mil-spec 7075-T6 aluminum forgings, and run to the mil-spec dimensions.
