The Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center wanted to honor the contributions of our state’s manufacturers and in 2012, started a Proud to Manufacture in Michigan campaign. Manufacturers were invited to display a Proud to Manufacture in Michigan poster in their facilities and receive a complementary profile page in the program directory.
Because of the overwhelming positive response to the campaign, the official Proud to Manufacture in Michigan program was launched. The program continues to be free to Michigan manufacturers and companies who support or provide services to manufacturers. We refer to these service providers as friends of manufacturing.
Our goal is to further support our manufacturers by raising awareness of Michigan’s manufacturing community and the products made in our state. In addition to the various social media outlets, our intent is to create opportunities for Michigan’s manufacturers to network with one another.
