INNOVATING SILICONE

Wacker Chemical in Adrian is Wacker’s North American headquarters for Wacker Chemical Corporation. It is the company’s oldest U.S. facility as it was close to the big automakers. The 240-acre site has been producing elastomers, silicone fluids and silicone emulsions since 1969.

Today, the location supplies a diverse range of industries with silicone and is in development of a new business area for specialty silicones for wound dressings. In 2017, the company opened a new research and development center for silicones where new products are developed to better serve their customers.
